Hi pitch scratching noises in Ninja Combat with MV-1B

Is this an issue with the game itself? It sounds really awful during some sound effects, sometimes it will do it and sometimes it won't. Weird thing is I don't ever remember this happening when I played it on my MV-1C.

Is this a Ninja Combat thing or should I start looking to debug the board?

My windjammers will do that sometimes if the contacts aren't spotless. As always, try cleaning (and re-cleaning) first.

It's definitely the MV-1B doing it, tried it in the MV-1C it's fine. The contacts are great on the MV-1B on the cart connector and JAMMA pins. No idea what could be causing it.

Make sure the rider card on the 1B is fully seated to the base PCB.
