Actually, the Hyper Neo '64 seems impressive in the specs, but is actually grossly underpowered compared to other 3-D systems out there, especially when the cost of the unit is taken into account. Of course, it could be that the proper optimization routines had not been found for the system yet, but then, it was never destined to be a popular system anyhow; the (blocky) appearance of the first SS64 more or less sealed the fate of the Hyper Neo '64. I haven't seen one of those machines in about 2 years now. Sad, huh?

That being said, SS64 II was an amazing game. Pity they followed it up with the crapfest that was SS:WR.
