I've posted many times in the past about this. I make music and go out on the road with irregular frequency. The bands are catered more toward the noisy/experimental crowd, but are rooted in some sort of rock music.

Enjoy guys. If anyone's interested in the first link I posted, we'll be releasing the record soon, and we're doing 30 shows in major cities all east of Kansas from October 15 through November 15.

The second band is doing a quick Chicago, IL - Kalamazoo, MI - Champaign, IL trip on Sept. 21-23.

Feel free to PM me for details and all that. Cool! Hey, if you're in a band, post it and whatever.

glad things are going well for you. it's fantastic when you're able to do something you love rather then doing something because you have to.

personally, i've made some house & techno tracks back in the day but have taken lot's of voice/singing lessons since i was a wee lad. sadly, nothing ever came of it. i wanted to try and start up a band similiar to 'depeche mode' but here in san diego never really found others who wanted the same.

anyway, good luck with everything!

Good luck on the drums. I started on bass and really struggled until I sat down on a kit. It wasn't long before I sold the bass gear and procured a cheap drumset.

beat I made on my MPC composed 100% of samurai shodown 2 sounds sampled from my cab's headhpone jack :)

this is just a snippet of the same beat I tried to sync up with some beastie boys verses for practice.

dude that stuff is amazing for just fooling around. I love the ideas being executed. Lot of potential for an MPC filled with NG sounds mixed with samples.

I jam with a few friends once or twice a week just for fun. at some point we'll try and play a show.
I think I'm getting too old to do anything with this stuff but I really enjoy playing and arranging.

here is a WIP I posted over at AO:

Awesome. I'm rocking out to all of your tunes. I'm involved in this music project: http://www.abikyokan.com Our youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/abikyokanmusic/videos
complexz - I really like the Sam Sho jam.
NeoEsZ - The art on your album is amazing! The music is cool.

Thanks Jake, you should see the vinyl in person. The original art was painted on canvas at 14x14, so the big matte sleeve for the record looks great. You should check out the back cover, it's probably more stunning than the front. Google search "Curtis Tinsley" He's the artist.

Cool thread!

I like your Spelling Bee band NeoEsZ. I really dig the all over the place vibe.

Here's a few cuts from a recent rehearsal from my band The Digital Radio Killers. We're a hard rockin' 3 piece that needs to get our shit together :lolz: We've yet to cut any real studio cuts but we're going to play a battle of the bands at the Metro Opera House in Oakland, CA this Sunday. Anybody in the area should come check it out. Hope somebody here digs this junk.

edit: oh hell yeah jon and kiel's band rocks!

I kinda work on music off and on, and its very electronic based.... some of this stuff is kinda old, like 3-5 years....

This last one is kinda messy, but was fun to make on the MPC 2000 back in the day.

haha trippy track eddie, the flutes are a cool touch. I gotta use something like that to even out some of my more robotic sounding tracks.

damn bobbyperu, that stuff is pretty great, so atmospheric. forgive my ignorance, what genre would you call this?
