I'm looking for Sega CD system......who has one ?

Make sure it's working and in nice condition.

I've heard US Sega CD can play Japanese game so just wonder......

I don't want to hookup my Gen 1 and Sega CD (front load) coz they are in mint boxes...

yea i have about 3 sega cd 2's, one is mint in box with all baggies and everything. bought new, i dont know if it works though. I'm interested in your sega cd 1, but im guessing you probably want alot for it seeing as it goes for $50-$100 on ebay, same with the gen 1. <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

I have two Genesis 1: like-new Mega Drive (JPN) and US Gen 1 (the one after Altered Beast, Made in Japan, not Taiwan as the first one)

One Genesis 2 (core system, Made in Japan, not China in the later model)

One Genesis 3

One Sega CD (front load, like new, complete everything. Box is like new)

I promise to take pictures but my damn friend will not lend me his digital camera until next Monday night......

As far as I know, No Mega CD game had any kind of regional lock-out on them.... I could be wrong, but I remember a friend having a Jap Mega CD and a UK Sonic CD....

I got a SEGA CD-2 at my friend's game store. Person bought it, never used it, then sold it to them. I bought it for $15.00. Everything is new, but the box is a little beat-up. I need a new Genesis 2. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

It'll be tough to find new Genesis 2......unless that dude brings another new, never use Gen 2 console to your friend's store again.........pray for it.

Well..... Back-up CD's work fine on a Mega CD, so as far as I know, Imports should be fine too.....

In order to play Jap Mega CD's you need a Jap CD system and either a US or Jap Genesis. Or a UK set up and the CDX cartidge(not to be confused with the Sega CDX)
And as for backups you can rip a Jap CD or whatever and patch the country code of your choice and then burn it and play it. You can find the patch program over the net, I forgot where though.

sega cd will not play imports, just backups.

silent, as far as the sega cd goes, i'd sell it for $30 or so or a trade of sorts for the front load + gen1 if youre willing. obviously i would add some money to sweeten up the deal. I'll give you like a life time warranty on the sega cd if it dont work, return it for the full purchase price...etc. I just hafe to make sure i didnt take it apart and not put it back together <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0">
