Wow, so soon into the new year :(. I really enjoyed most of the films he was in and thought he was a great actor.

Ah, shitty.'

Good character witha respectable body of work. I really felt the guy had the acting chops to give gravitas to every performance he delivered. He's pretty much the only good thing about Jurassic Park 2. Even in that movie, he gives the character subtle complexities that go beyond the surface. I'm not saying it's an acting tour de force or anything, but even in that dogshit movie he's giving the movie the only thespian cred it has. Since everyone else, including Spielberg, phoned that one in, it probably means he took more it seriously than the rest of them did.

I will miss seeing him in movies. R.I.P.

WOW that sucks. I too had started to take notice to how many strong supporting roles he had recently.

I especially loved his character in The Town.

As sad as this news in general is - i can´t remember a single role that he played though i recognized him right away as an actor and i´m also sure that i have seen him in many movies.

Anyway, dying at 63 is far too young - rest in peace! :crying:

In a strange way, that can be seen as a compliment for a character actor.

Are people too young to have known, seen or mentioned In the Name of the Father?

Both he and Daniel Day-Lewis were Oscar nominees.

Bummer. He was in Solomon Kane, which we are STILL waiting for here in the US.

He was a great character actor. RIP.
