Man, I never played Silent Hill 2 OR the original until four days ago. The same goes for one of my friends at college with Eternal Darkness and Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father.
He brought his Silent Hill stuff up, I brought up my Gamecube/etc. stuff. This has not been condusive to learning but oh well.
Silent Hill 1 and 2 are fucking amazing. I'm not even halfway through either of them and I already like them more than any Resident Evil game I've played with the possible exception of Code Veronica.
Everyone should play through at least one of the games listed above to commemorate the time of year in addition to one ( or preferabley ALL ) of the following:
Alone in the Dark (PC/3D0)
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (DC)
Beast Busters (Obtaining the PCB would be the ultimate "treat" )
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (PC/PSX)
Carrier (DC)
Castlevania (Everything besides The Castlevania Adventure)
Clock Tower (SNES)
Clock Tower (PSX)
Dark Seed (PC)
