I've just bought an XBOX 360...

First time. I've been a PS3 gamer throughout. 360 never really appealed to me. Games across both platforms always seemed similar aside those delectable exclusives. I've had my PS3 since 2009. Initially, in 04/05, I wasn't planning on going next gen. It was the anticipation of wanting to own and play RE5 and SFIV that sold me on going that route. At which point, I decided on PS3 as I just didn't fancy the 360, or it's horrendous reliability for that matter.

Anyway, fast forward to today and both consoles have reached the finish line. I fancied grabbing a 360 for some very specific titles I have had my eye on along the way; exclusives, specifically.

So far, from my 'list', I have acquired:

Forza 2, 3, 4 & Horizon
PGR 3 & 4
TDUnlimited
Crackdown & Condemned (played these both years ago on a friends 360 and really rated both games).

I'll probably grab the Gears trilogy too down the line.

So... I was wondering if any of you here, who are more familiar with the 360 than I, could maybe recommend/point out some titles, exclusive to the 360 (by that, I mean, not available to me via PS3... as I don't have Steam or a PC) either physical or digital?

1st digital purchase will most likely be either Hydro Thunder Hurricane or Perfect Dark.

Also, are the Left for Dead games any good as 1P games?

DOA4 is a good exclusive, too. With backwards compatibility, you can play DOA1, DOA2, and DOA3 on the same console, too.

I played L4D2 as single player on PC. I liked it well enough. I then tried playing L4D1, and I didn't like it enough to finish it. L4D2 had more interesting interplay between the characters to make it more entertaining as a single player experience.

Bayonetta - not exclusive but runs much better ln 360 than PS3

Get Culdcept Saga.... it is a wacky board/card game combo and the cpu cheats like a slutty gf.

All the Fallouts and Elder Scrolls run better on 360.

Ninja Gaiden 2 way more enemies on screen than sigma, well worth the play through and still better than Sigma2

Blur Great racer, fun and simple, perfect multiplayer.

For the most part everything else would be available on both systems. I don't play much FPS or Gears so my knowledge on the library is limited to what I like which is mostly Racers, Fighters, Shmups, Action games like Ninja Gaiden.

Samurai Showdon Sen - It gets a bad rep, but its a decent fun fighter, just make sure to install it.

I know its already been talked about - but you have to get all the Gears of Wars games and Alan Wake (across any system).

In my humble opinion those were the 2 best new IPs that game out last generation.


Also, in regards to L4D...I enjoyed Left 4 Dead 1 - I think I liked the environments more than the sequel. I'd definitely recommend picking it up...even w/o any multiplayer. But then again, I also liked Evolve which I think a lot of people didn't...so maybe don't take my advice

o.0 I agree the OP should check out Gears of War, but Alan Wake.... is very flawed, TBH I'd tread carefully on any survival horror game; that genre hasn't made anything decent since Silent Hill 2.

As for the best new IP for the 7th gen? That would be Bioshock and Valkyria Chronicles; the OP should pick those up if he doesn't have them already.

Ace Combat 6 (Definitely! Loved AC4, AC5 & ACZero for PS2. AC2 was also amazing on PS1)
Ridge Racer 6 (Unsure, as have already hammered RR7 for PS3 and I believe RR6 is RR7 'lite'?)
Ninja Gaiden 2 (Will definitely check this one out)
Ninja Blade (Same again)
Tenchu Z (loved the PS1 original, Wrath of Heaven for PS2 and Shinobido series too)
EDF 2017 (got the one after this for PS3 and 2025 for PS3 too, but open to going back and checking this out, if it's worth it?)
Lengthy list of Cave Shmups

Anything I haven't included I either already have for PS3 (e.g. Ultra SF4, KOFXIII) or just doesn't interest me, game wise (e.g. Halo, general RPG's etc).

I most definitely agree that it is flawed - but it was an interesting concept for a game and they executed on it really well with the flashlight - and that earns big brownie points in my book. Controls were good, action and combat was fun, game progressed well with no real lulls, graphics and sounds were good, and it was fun and engaging. Love it!

Check Xbox live arcade games also for shmups: Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun, Trigger Heart Excelica, Guwange.
Also Rez, Daytona USA, Bangai-O HD Missile Fury, Virtual on Oratorio Tangram, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooi/ Tooie and many many more.
Both new Tomb Raider games and don´t forget Serious Sam HD collection. I really like the system. Original xbox Outrun 2 also runs on 360.
