Here's video that I captured of my run, hope to increase the score on it. I did notice that there is more slowdown on the 68k version versus Windows. There are some spots that it saved my ass on this run. I am also dealing with a bit of lag due to my "great" Sony TV
I'll prolly pull out a CRT monitor and try a couple more runs on both versions.

I'm still working at it. My PlayStation 2 controller isn't any better than my PSone arcade stick it seems. I prolly need to get myself an actual PC arcade stick, but I love these SOTM contests because it gets me to try out games I never would have known about otherwise.

Holy shit I just watched this and had no idea you could sit in the middle of all the powerups and get all of them at once. I'm shocked! Definitely a useful tip.

Yeah that's the way to score well too.

It takes a bit of practice to get it down though.
