I just bought a standard Xbox for $12.50 at a video game store that was closing. Until now, I had never had an Xbox and the only games that I already have for it are mostly ones that I either picked up randomly just because they were cheap or they were backwards compatible on the 360. Here is a list of what I have, but does anyone have any games they would recommend or even have for sale that would be good to get? I was thinking of maybe getting the other oddworld game or something.

Big Bumpin
Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space
Brute Force
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
Conker Live and Reloaded
Dead of Alive 3
Dead of Alive Ultimate
Doom 3
Fable The Lost Chapters
Grand Theft Auto 3
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto Trilogy
Grand Theft Auto Vice City
Half Life 2
Halo
Halo 2
Jade Empire Limited Edition
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing
Justice League Heroes
King of Fighters 2002/2003
Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning
Lego Star Wars
Mortal Kombat Deception
Ninja Gaiden Black
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Pocket Bike Racer
Project Gotham Racing
Psychonauts
Sega GT 2002 / Jet Set Radio Future
Shenmue 2
Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams / Inner Fears
Sneak King
Soul Calibur 2
Splinter Cell
Spyro A New Beginning
Star Wars BattleFront
Star Wars BattleFront 2
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Stubbs the Zombie
Super Monkey Ball Deluxe
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
The Matrix: Path of Neo
The Warriors
Thief Deadly Shadows
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike

Burnout Takedown and Stranger's Wrath. I see you already have Conker, and Panzer Dragoon.

**edit** Definitely get KOF Neowave and I also recommend Guilty Gear X2.

I have very few xbox games but this list contains pretty much all the games I would recommend... so co sign :)

gunvalkyrie is weird as hell but once you understand it, it's hardcore.

Take it to a flea market and smash it over Uri's head. Then take all his $1 missing label 2600 carts from his booth.

I did the same thing a while back, bought an xbox for cheap and modified it with a chip and a 40gb hdd.

Crazy Taxi High Roller
Shenmue 2 (if you dont already have the DC ver as its far superior)
OutRun 2006 (Awesome!!)
Dead or Alive 3
Jet Set Radio Future

But then I got stuck, there's really fuck all good games on that system. I found it hard to find games worth playing let alone buying or downloading for that matter. Mainly the last gen games that had better graphical versions on the xbox were interesting but this interest didn't last long, at least for me anyway.

It sucks MS took away Live from the original X-Box. I was still having fun with Halo 2 and Outrun 2006 on it when they shut it down.

It's a really easy system for LAN parties, because everyone and their mother has a modded XBox with a big hard drive in it. Someone can burn/bring one copy of a game and you can get everyone running it. Great for TimeSplitters.

If you still have any interest in FPS games I can solidly reccomend the following:

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood

These are two of the finest squad level first person shooters to come out in years. A thinking man's FPS as you will have to successfully manage your two fireteams.

The third title Hell's Highway is availalble on 360/PS3 and while still a solid title, not as good as the previous two games mainly because they added a bunch of stuff where it's you alone and you don't get to controls your fireteams.

Great story in these titles.

They're like the Band of Brothers of WW2 FPS and proof that the genre still has some legs left.

EDIT: Play the first game - Road to Hill 30 first. The second game ramps up the difficulty (which I quite enjoyed) but playing the first game will prepare you for it.

Haha I almost went there today. Seems fishy that you are so new and mentioning it madam.

Anyway, thanks for all the recommendations. I think I'm going to consolidate them into a list to hunt for while I'm on vacation this week.

Almost anything Sega. I think they saw it as the spiritual successor to the DC.

Get your hands on the Rent-A-Hero English version! I need to play through that some more.
