Anyone else playing this? It comes out physically this Tues but digitally was able to be played since the 17th. It's a remaster of an older ps3/4 game from the Yakuza devs. A yakuza styled game set in 1860's japan. It's everything I've ever wanted in a game.

Trailer for those interested:

I'm pretty excited for it, it looks like an awesome update and the original game is unplayable unless you known Japanese. Probably won't pick it up anytime soon though, I still haven't finished LAD lol.

I honestly dropped LAD as it's way too grindy(even tho I understand that's only because of Ichiban, still makes it a drag).

Ishin is easily my GOTY, you'll love it.

Nah that was a different one. This was originally Ishin on ps3 and ps4. Sadly we'll probably never get Kenzan :(

sounds awesome

Maybe I'll scoop this up.

Does it have all the silly side missions like the regular Yakuza game?

I mean, that's the only reason I play the series is for the side missions.

Runs beautifully on Steam Deck. Handheld Yakuza ftw I think.

Wish it was on the Switch for this exact reason.

Don't feel like getting a Steam Deck.

Nintendo could finally release a Switch 2 that ran mid-range Steam Deck and they'd print money. More money I suppose I should say.

I used to be on a huge Yakuza phase, but that was on the PS3 days... got plat to 3, 4, 5 and then 6 and 0 on the PS4. I think I played them way too much because after 6 I just dropped the franchise and never looked back, I even have Judgment sealed somewhere.

Maybe Ishin will be novel enough to rekindle my interest in the series.

Just picked up a copy recently. Been waiting for them to release this in the west for so long.
I tried stumbling through it back in the day in Japanese on PS3. It was not an easy time

Yeah, those text heavy games are never easy to blindly go through. I tried doing that with Der Langrisser FX and only got about 1/3 through it
