I have a suggestion for the forums.
Long term members (15 years, 20 years) should have privileges, for example, the ability to change your own username, or access to a forum that's just for those members.
Or, it could be based on having a minimum post count, as well as 15+ years of membership.

There's already been a constructive suggestion for "special" members - It's called the "Leslie M Collins Memorial Forum".

And you wouldn't need to be longterm to go there! You'll just never come back....

Stay a while... stay.... forever.

I didn't post this thread in the War Room.

Genius!

I can't believe the mods never thought of it. I'm sure none of these things would cause any problems at all.
There are already name changes. They are happening all the time, usually with nobody complaining that it causes problems.

Complaining about something like that would be self-identifying oneself as a bitch so I don’t expect we see a lot of it, problems or not.

Give you a special forum called the Phantom zone and banish you there like general Zod.

You can change your custom title once you reach 10k posts. I'd advise you to post more however the majority probably would want you to do the opposite :tickled:

Oh god I think we've awakened JoeX !!

Just rank, name would be cool but that'd be kinda dangerous.

The original requirement was 10k posts however since the last forum implosion, who knows?!!
Is this true? I think that sets a precedent (for the new forums), if it is.

He’s got some spunk that JoeX.

Can I also ask the mods take a look at the profile of that scoundrel Lagduf and find out how he has a 20 year badge when there’s still 57 days to go? It’s outrageous.

I make this claim as some whose got 63 days to go till he get’s his 20 year badge and is in no way shape or form butthurt about this. No Siree.

I just believe we should always do what is right else the forum’s society will collapse and we’ll have a army of JoeX’s piled up and end up no better than Atari Age.

Only moderators can do name changes :tickled:
How can I be sure that's true?
It's probably possible to change the website rules, so that some members can do it.
The name change thing was just an example, of a privilege that could be given to long term members. There are also other possibilities.

What possibilities? I’d like to know. Will it be better than an IKEA family card in terms of benefits?
