A well done Mega Man style game for the Neo sounds better than yet another fighter or puzzler. The main character sprite could use some tweaking. Mack wearing shorts looks terrible imo. Especially since his arms are covered by metallic material.

Some new colors that aren't green, purple, brown and stuck on the Genesis palette would also be nice. The backgrounds look drab af.

Concept seems cool. But I agree the backgrounds are pretty plain. The enemy design isn't great either. I guess I'll have to reassess further into production. I get sketched out by physical game Kickstarters. They either go ok or are a complete disaster.

Honestly I don't see much diffrence between the Home Console and Genesis versions.

Neofid/BitBeam don't seem great about advertising updates on their products. Here's some video of all their upcoming games on the Neo. I don't think any of them are going to meet their deadlines considering they are developing all of these in parallel with multiple platforms.

"Metal Mack" is done by Bitbeam on Scorpion Engine (yes, that Amiga engine) alone. No involvement by NeoFID.

They're working with them on other projects even if Metal Mack is an "independent" endeavor.

Looks like a middling Genesis game. Meh. I might get it on Steam.
