I find 2 to be the superior between them. Sounds like you're only gripe really is just the slowdown. So say if it didn't have slowdown, are there any other aspects that make it less of a title compared to X?

Meh. 2 and X are both enjoyable, imo. I've probably played X more, but only because I've had it longer than I've had 2. Ever since I got 1, though, I pretty much play that one only 
I sort of like having two different versions of the "same game," to be honest. It's neat to see two different takes on a similar game. The slow down in 2 doesn't really bother me, but I don't know that I really prefer one over the other.
Although I do agree that 2 is what the game was "supposed" to be. However, I appreciate that they decided to release a game which corrected the bugs, but wasn't the same damn game. Not only did they fix the bugs, but they changed enough to to not make the game exactly the same, but left enough alone to not make an entirely new game.
They deserve mad props for that, if you ask me.

The game looks real ugly, why didn't they make this game for PSP instead?
