MVS MV2-01 Battery Damage Repair info...

Had one with not only battery damage to the NEO-ZMC2 chip affecting video, but also cutting off 2 traces carrying ADPCM data to the YM2610.

Here's the documented info on where to run your patches. The ZMC2 trace patches are done on the top side of the board while the YM2610 ones can be done on top or bottom. Patching on the bottom is easier and cleaner though.

When I first joined I asked for info and said I would share everything I figured out about the platform. Everyone was skeptical "yeah, sure...", "we've heard that one before", and worse.

I kept my word

A lot of stuff has been figured out, including reversing functionality of some of the chipset chips and tough repairs including the Backup Error with the B240 message. That one was special to me as Nightmare Tony popped up on that thread and mentioned that one eluded him. I do miss chatting late at night on Facebook with him.
