Rhythm Of Fighters is awesome! Go get it on IOS or Android. I'm really impressed with the song and character references! Not just KOF, it's all across SNK

UFO got Pendual. They just posted it:

I assure you that's their image.

I honestly probably won't make the 4 hour drive and just wait til winter for the Round One arcade to open 45 min from me. They'll have Pendual.

Round One in Arlington opens on Dec 20. Some friends of mine will work there :D

Got to play Pendual at Arcade UFO. I failed the Remo Con 10 with a surprise ending, and cleared Afro Knuckle which is an 11, but I don't think it's gonna stay an 11, it's absurdly easy even compared to the easiest 11s like Believe In Me. Oh and I got 8dan yayyyy. Wonder if it's 9dan will be easier than Spada's lol, because of Rerun being moved to the 3rd song in 9dan I got further in 9dan in Spada than in Tricoro basically by default. Rerun has that one wall of shit part that always kills me.

My game garage got a new addition:

On loan from a friend :)

Current lineup: IIDX on 32" Emerson LCD (community-approved to have a quite low amount of lag, and is very affordable), Pop'n on 31" VGA CRT (it's a beast!), 5keys machine running The Final, Korean-origin DDR machine running Extreme, and a 26" LCD in front of a couch for whatever gaming. All in 200sf!

I'm gonna get some wall mount brackets for the LCDs and position the 26" LCD to where we can fit a race wheel underneath, and at some point load up my hacked BC PS3 with goodies and leave it down there :)

Of course. 99% of all Extremes you'll see outside of Japan are bootleg lol.

There are copyable bootlegs for all the mixes that run on System 573 hardware, so I'll be able to run 3rd Korean v2 on there just by burning a CD or two :)

I do want to rig up a PC interface to run OITG soon too. Probably will start after Thanksgiving.

I want to play these at home but Bemani/Popn controllers seem to be out of my budget to buy or build :(

My local arcade has a 5key cab which I played a lot on Sunday, that was fun. The older games have genres that are more my style as well.

You can get by on keyboard or with less expensive home controllers. We had an old PM convo, feel free to hit me up again if you want to get down to the nitty-gritty.

A friend offered to let me borrow a PS2 Bemani controller, are there any converters that don't lag too bad? I played a lot at Magfest, that was fun. I've been trying to build up ratio on sows but it's a slog.

I can only vouch for the Pelican PS3 converter which is scarce. PPJoy parallel adapters lag less than any converter but still aren't totally perfect. Which controller do you have? If it's a US IIDX controller (rounded edge near the turntable) those are super finicky with converters. Something like a Japanese IIDX controller works decently enough with most any converter that doesn't have a shitload of lag.
