Grinder leaving the Mercury. Plum leaving the Aces (for fucking LA no less). Wild and heartbreaking WNBA offseason.

I predict that Butler will eventually get traded for the Suns for a kingly sum that further destroys the future of the team, Butler will be kinda sorta good but a drama queen the whole time, and it'll blow up in everyone's faces. This is the Mat Ishiba Suns' era way.

I reckon LeBron might be on the way out too…

If he stays, they try and add a big or two.

If he gets the shits and asks for a trade they send him back to Cleveland for the goodbye tour, he helps them with some experience in the playoffs, easier to get to the finals. Lakers get back some young kids to help Luka.

Either way fuck Mr. Glass and his pretzel rod bones. Everytime he jumps Lakers fans hold our breath. Now he can go to the Mavs and have as many sprained ankles and yeast infections his heart desires. Don’t forget your crutches unibrow

it's gonna be funny to watch all the Lakers fans turn on Luka when they realize he's 270 pounds and only cares about his own statline

Mavs GM should be fired. NBA should investigate. He just led them to the finals. Insane trade.
bad value for the Mavs for sure...but I can't see how the Luka and lebron pairing works. they'll be a quick exit in the playoffs, imo.

Lakers have a brighter future thanks to the Mavs. Give him a beer and let him eat all the chicken wings.

Now we know what Shawn Michael's Amazon search history looks like.

I can't believe that sort of thing was ever on TV.

Wtf kind of trade is that ? Might be a cheap mark cuban move him to save money . But damn they need to a better return then just Davis , he’s old and on the way out . Like the above post mention might as well moved LeBron to Cleveland for some younger players.

I'm in no way a conspiracy guy but it is amusing that the Lakers always manage to have a generational player just land in their lap for nothing or next to nothing once a decade. Occasionally it was because of good scouting but mostly it's because GMs of other franchises just gift them one of the two or three best players in the league in their prime and ask them for basically nothing in return.

Even if Dallas legitimately thought Luka was a lazy slob who would never stay healthy and was therefore not worth the $350 million they owe him after next year, WHY THE FUCK WOULDN'T YOU PUT HIM ON THE OPEN MARKET?

Cuban doesn't own the team anymore. It's the Adelsons (of Sheldon Adelson, one of the shittiest human beings to ever live, infamy). They're awful human beings but they're not penny pinchers.

Cuban still owns like 30% and runs the front office, but yeah, the Adelsons are the controlling owners.

Ah, I hadn't seen that.

I thought it was odd in the first place he retained control after selling his majority share. I guess it was just until the Adelsons could hire their own guy. Generally a new owner would have someone in mind when they took over.

Kerr should be able to work with Butler and get him on the same page as the rest of the team. My only question is whether it will help their very mid record or not to have Butler on their roster.

Coin flip with the butler trade due to health issues wiggin isn’t bad he take up a lot of the defensive duties and he can give you 15+ a night . Warriors didn’t improve much . Ideally durant would be the best option but….

Laker made a moved the get a big I think they have better odds then the warriors .

Dennis Schroder traded again. Lol. Lands with his ninth nba team and comparing nba trading to the 'slave trade' as he counts his millions. 14+ ppg player that can't fit in anywhere...

Can't say I'm surprised Butler didn't end up on the Suns. Trading KD as a part of it would have been the only way to make it work with Miami, and the Suns still would have been stuck with Beal and his albatross of a contract.

Honestly I'm fine with it, Butler is a drama queen and team chemistry would have been even worse eventually.

Anywho, back to mediocrity for the rest of the season.

Also, going to enjoy watching the Mavericks melt down. Their GM saying that fans will quickly forget about Luca when they're winning is one of the most delusional press conference statements I've ever heard.

It's not a conspiracy. The Lakers are the NBAs most favored team, and have been that way since the 80s with Magic and Kareem. They have a huge worldwide fanbase, and huge fanbases spend money, especially when their team constantly has the best players and are winning championships. Thus, them having a constant rotation of generational players is completely expected, unfair as it is.
