The last time each of these teams won the championship:

Knicks - 1972-73
Pacers - never - (3 ABA titles)
Thunder - never - (they didn't claim the Sonics' title)
Timberwolves - never

The end of dynasties is one of the good things about the new NBA.
I disagree, I like a dynasty. Creates more drama and interest in the long run.

When it comes to NBA history, we always either talk about great players who dominated the league or great teams. No one cares about teams that win once and then are drastically changed and blown up.

I respect the greatness and the hustle it takes to be a dynasty but foregone conclusions make for bad television. I don't have an irrational hate boner for LeBron but watching the Cavs limp in to the Finals every year in the shitty 2010s Eastern Conference to get blown out by the Warriors was fucking boring. It's the reason people love football so much more: teams' fortunes change on the arrival of one great quarterback and anything can happen in a single-elimination 60-minute playoff game.

I've been so much more in to the NBA the last several years even though my team remains hot garbage just because there's so many great young players to watch and there's legitimately 8-10 teams who have a shot to win the title every year if things break their way.

That's more on the East for being pretty much dogshit throughout the entire decade though

Fuck the Denver Nuggets and their fan base. Take your championship and get to the back of the line.
Let Jokic keep piling up those stats. Won’t be long before Serbian doughboy’s body is shot. Let the fucker average 40/15/20 he will still have 1 fucking ring.

To his credit, that's one more ring than most players ever get, and even some franchises have ever gotten.

Murray lost a step and can no longer create separation off the dribble. That combined with the NBA allowing more contact has made him drastically overpaid. He's still a good player but he's nowhere near a max contract guy.

Porter has been an insane disappointment. I have never seen a guy so consistently disappear in big games. I know he was hurt badly this postseason but it happens every year. I thought winning a championship would help him mature but it simply hasn't. On paper he's everything you want -- pure shooter, good rebounder, incredible positional size. But he's the dumbest, softest guy in the league.

But beyond that I couldn't imagine the next two offseasons being such a disaster after Booth's first offseason was so insanely good. His first year he brought in KCP, Bruce Brown, Ish Smith, DeAndre Jordan, Reggie Jackson, Christian Braun, Peyton Watson, and Collin Gillespie.

And then every move he made subsequently for the next two years blew up in his face like when Bugs Bunny ties Elmer Fudd's shotgun in a knot.
Don’t feel bad there are plenty of over paid players in the nba .

OKC really playing good basketball consistent and grind it out .

I almost felt bad for the Wolves last night given how many fucking garbage calls went SGA's way.

But then I remembered that Edwards and Gobert are gigantic shitbag assbutts, so fuck 'em

Inb4 @famicommander shits endlessly on SGA like he does Embiid just cause Jokic didn't win a trophy
Anyone can plainly see Jokic is levels above SGA.

But the difference is that, unlike Embiid, SGA is not a cheap or dirty player going out there injuring dudes on purpose. SGA is not a "throw your teammates under the bus" player. SGA did not wage a three year media campaign whining for the award.

The worst you can say about SGA is that he's a big time foul baiter like and he makes games unfun to watch regardless of rooting interest or outcome. But he's not a scumbag as far as I can tell.

And yet you know damn well you'd take Jokic over SGA if your Lakers could have either one.

And you know damn well 30/30 NBA general managers take Jokic over SGA.

No one would've been mad if Jokic won but SGA had a dominant season and lifted his team to a historic number of wins and deep in to the playoffs. I'd say don't be a salty bitch buuuuuut...

It's the MVP award, not the "also had a great season award". It's a farce to pretend that SGA is a better player than Jokic.

Jokic team fucked him out of it. If they would have won he might have won more votes . Can’t denied SGA is legitimate face of the nba and take his team to the next level . For marketing and Audience wise for the nba it better for SGA to win then jokic .

No, see you don’t understand. Basketball didn’t even truly EXIST before Jokic. He is the alpha and the omega and should win all NBA awards in perpetuity.

I swear it would be so much easier to like the guy if Denver fans didn’t ride his nutsack like a hippity-hop 24/7
