My team is absolutely absurd....

I heard they're keeping Green too. But, on the plus side, fans on both teams are saying their team got fleeced, so I guess it must have been a decent trade.

Beal has got to fucking go, somehow, some way. We need a Paul/Nash floor general style PG and a PF that's worth a damn now that Durant is gone.

BTW, congrats to the OKC Thunder on their first ring!
Beal waived his no trade clause and is now the Clippers' problem,

I wish I got a $100+ million buyout for being poor at my job...

$20+ million of dead cap for five years. Blech. I almost wonder if it would have been better to wait and still trade him or let it ride one more year and then buy him out so it could have been a waive and stretch on much better terms.

Oh well, they're out of the first and second apron now at least.

Anyone watching Summer League? Was going to go to a game but life got in the way.

It's not Beal's fault the Wizards were dumb enough to give him that contract and then the Suns were dumb enough to trade for that contract. Hard to blame a guy for accepting a dumbass billionaire's money.

Clippers are just gonna get hurt. Kawhi, Harden, and Beal? No fuckin' way that squad is healthy the whole year.

I only partly fault Beal, and frankly the whole team for having this total sense of "meh" the entire past two seasons. Seems like since Durant and him joined, the entire winning culture and hunger just went right out the window, and it rubbed off on Booker.

But it's entirely the Suns' (particularly Ishiba's) fault for throwing away our young, talented core in hopes of getting a Super Team title, and being epically dumb enough to allow a no trade clause knowing full well that could be weaponized by an often injured player.

There was never any chance of Booker and Beal playing well together. They're the same player, Booker is just much younger and better.

3 year deal with a player option and a no trade clause for an aging guy with a torn achilles is insane

Still, it's nice to see loyalty rewarded, it's a relatively small contract, and since the Blazers aren't going to be contending for a bit, it'll be a big warm fuzzy to the fanbase to see him back.
