Magician Lord is ADK's Ghosts and Goblins and has amazing art (for an early Geo game), enemy design, cool music, tight controls, etc. and it's the right amount of frustrating fun a real arcade title needs. I still don't understand how people are so dismissive of it.

Honestly whatever an adult man buys with their own cash is their own business. I’m excited to get some games I missed out on physical copies for at a sane price first time round, because I was a child in the 90s.
If I already had spent the sort of money on official AES homecarts that could have gotten me into home ownership years earlier, and then realised that was retarded because they are now available for £70 a pop, and the inflated value of my original AES games could now be negatively impacted by these rereleases, then perhaps I would have a chip on my shoulder like a Rolex wearing Goob.

Probably something about the exclusivity of the system catering to the elite discerning consumer.
Which is probably why the original SNK went bankrupt, and why Plaion will actually make some money.
