omg load times.

I found if you played the same stage or same characters on CD, it drastically reduced the load times for the later fighting games. I'm surprised it was smart enough to keep that in memory. My friend and I would use the same characters in practice matches for Last Blade and there were almost no load time.

Not sure it was already said, but just noticed that the spines of these new re releases - at least from the pics taken in Japan and posted here a while back - appear to have a different game screenshot compared to the OG carts. I believe this is a good design choice to not make these cheaper versions of the games to look somehow same to the originals when placed on a shelf.

Yeah, it's standard. If you continue and play the same characters, no load time on basically every NGCD fighter.

In terms of the other project Plaion is working on, I’d guess it is a NGPC. They already worked out licensing stuff for the AES…and given all the renewed interest it’d be silly not to capitalize on it.

Also, on its own, a new NGPC probably wouldn’t garner a lot of interest, nor is there a huge library of games….but releasing it while the home system is so hyped I can absolutely see goobs wanting a NGPC to go along with their shiny new AES+. And a shelf full of those cute little baby snaplocks

NGPC+ would be a weird situation where I'd be interested in the hardware but not really the games, except for a couple. Unless they did new English translations of some of the later titles that got left in Japan, which could be cool.
