I just noticed that Pixel Heart are not selling AES+ games, just the system. I think they are trying to use the new console to sell their own stuff, and doesn’t really mean anything going forward.

Same. I would buy a Breakers Revenge cart for $90. Maybe it could happen if the AES+ numbers are high enough to make it feasible for Pixelheart.

An av cable is hardly an accessory would you agree. This is a fundamental part of the system

The question is, if inserts are double side printed, how are they gonna manage with the cartridge label and manual? No bueno.

Realistically you won’t see these carts fade in 10 years. Do you guys realise that vendors need to be extremely conservative when providing expected life span of components?

Well, on the other side… patched/repaired/eprom cartridges on late life titles is also far from Rolls Royce specs.

Multiple stickers on 300$ cartridges was always a scandal to me.

They are having meetings right now to talk "how can we lower costs and increase investor returns?", and will seek to deliver something that has the illusion of "high quality" at the lowest possible production price.

Still stoked, but checking my expectations at the door for now. I was wrong about this thing before, so I would love to be wrong again.
