I would get a $90 reissue but none of the other stuff at 300€ or more.
Perhaps, but my point is there is a business relationship established here.I just noticed that Pixel Heart are not selling AES+ games, just the system. I think they are trying to use the new console to sell their own stuff, and doesn’t really mean anything going forward.
An av cable is hardly an accessory would you agree. This is a fundamental part of the systemThey said it works with all accessories, so does that mean it will work with original Neo Geo AV cables? They haven't explained how they're doing stereo out through the multi AV out jack, and if we'll need new cables for that.
Grabbed the cum core with metal slug, and pre-ordered two other games.
Is evil wasabi dead?crazy seeing some usernames I haven't seen in years
I was right sticking with this place for 20+ years and never taking a break
What was it about? And where is rot? Is he dead?He hasn't been back since the whole "Rot purge" drama.
I WON'T BUY AES+ UNLESS IT HAS THE NEW CART SMELL
Key point. That video shows the ESRB ugliness is missing from the bottom left, I hope that is the case in Nov.
94 pages exhausting every possible topic about the AES+ and he’s the only one so far to associate the white console with cum.
Makes you think
The fact that we still haven’t seen the guts of any cartridge speaks really bad.
Hope Dion isn't reading.Need to add some lead bearings inside each cart for that.
Hmm… a business opportunity perhaps…
So in 10 years we have some cartridges starting to fail?Dude to each there own but yes it’s going to be flash memory which is what Nintendo use these days too. I personally don’t give a fuck for £69.99, compared to £300+ these cost new in 2004.
iirc Jotego strongly hinted that it would be nor flash and not nand, so the lifespan should be fineMy problem is with flash nand memories. No way I’m paying 80€ for a glorified usb memory.
Realistically you won’t see these carts fade in 10 years. Do you guys realise that vendors need to be extremely conservative when providing expected life span of components? So in 10 years we have some cartridges starting to fail?
Oh god I have been so naive on all this. Rolls Royce at Cocomobile price.
Is evil wasabi dead?
I don’t see it as an investment at all. But I guess I just fooled myself believing this is “neo geo aes” quality.
Well, on the other side… patched/repaired/eprom cartridges on late life titles is also far from Rolls Royce specs.
Multiple stickers on 300$ cartridges was always a scandal to me.
Reality Hurts.I think, at best, the hope is this is better than other similar cash grabs. But the idea that this will be some pinnacle of quality is crazy. It will be made with 2026 standards, for 2026 goobs. They are having meetings right now to talk "how can we lower costs and increase investor returns?", and will seek to deliver something that has the illusion of "high quality" at the lowest possible production price.
Still stoked, but checking my expectations at the door for now. I was wrong about this thing before, so I would love to be wrong again.
