Caved and ordered the bundle, the hardware alone essentially makes the games $50 a piece...
But did you wash your hands afterwards?

Just wait till he figures out what every Nintendo "cartridge" after the GBA is made of.iirc Jotego strongly hinted that it would be nor flash and not nand, so the lifespan should be fine
The white version with metal slug at most would probably be slighty more than double in price. The games can probably go up 3x price since those are limited licenses. The main system itself won't since it's default. The ultimate edition might not go super high depending on how much is made, so maybe lower serials, but that's about it.I think, at best, the hope is this is better than other similar cash grabs. But the idea that this will be some pinnacle of quality is crazy. It will be made with 2026 standards, for 2026 goobs. They are having meetings right now to talk "how can we lower costs and increase investor returns?", and will seek to deliver something that has the illusion of "high quality" at the lowest possible production price.
Still stoked, but checking my expectations at the door for now. I was wrong about this thing before, so I would love to be wrong again.
I mean, the timeframe to come out with new releases could be long due to production costs, and not every Neo Geo game might not get the AES+ treatment. But the carts will be highly profitable now because everyone is going to want one.I'm more worried about the casuals/broke retro collectors who gonna get the console and jump to get a 161 in 1 cart (if compatible) or a neo Sd cart, making the demand for re-releases lower/having a poor limited pool of re-releases and the possibility of new games released not being worthwhile because of poor demands.
Why would they be disappointed? not disagreeing just not following. Seems like they would be happy with whatever gets put out for AES+ bc they obviously weren't hardcore enough to jump in before nowNo, the people what will end up mad and screaming is the small niche of brokies that always wanted an AES but couldn't even afford to get into MVS and are going all in on this like it's some sort of savior. They are going to end up disappointed.
I like the ESRB ratings. They're a quick and easy way to tell the new releases from the old. That video shows the ESRB ugliness is missing from the bottom left, I hope that is the case in Nov.
If they keep 'em at $90/pop, no worriesI'm more worried about the casuals/broke retro collectors who gonna get the console and jump to get a 161 in 1 cart (if compatible) or a neo Sd cart, making the demand for re-releases lower/having a poor limited pool of re-releases and the possibility of new games released not being worthwhile because of poor demands.
Rock over, Osaka!*best Wesley Willis voice
A Bum!
A Jerk!
And an AES+ HOLE!
Aren't they already selling Visco games - for like $500Pixelheart is selling the AES+ now? That's a good sign for the Visco games, isn't it?
Yes. So they can make a deal with Plaion to release cheaper ones next time, since there's some kind of business relationship now.Aren't they already selling Visco games - for like $500
Good list. Now, below is my list, along with my reasoning for each:League Bowling - super accessible, fun - Legacy title (the maglord of wave 2)
Baseball Stars 2 - gotta do pastime, flashy chunky sprites - wide appeal
Super Sidekicks 2/ Ultimate FutBOL kicks 4 or whatever the fuck its called
(I think they will likely go with 4 to showcase the peak of the genre - for the noobs but 2 is the better arcade experience)
Make no mistake, a soccer/futbol title WILL be included.
KOF98 - fucking DUH
Samurai Shodown 2 - why the fuck wasn't it in the first wave but it will be in wave 2 its the favorite of the series (fuck y'all 4 and 3 ass lickers)
(no more blade games in wave 2 - expect LB2 in Wave 3)
Toss up: World Heroes Perfect or an Art of Fighting game (likely 3) - seems like AOF title would need to be included as it was left out of the initial wave but they may wish to flex their ADK and technically, AOF characters are in KOF.
Blazing Star - they flexed some hardcore peepee with Pulstar but Blazing Star is the more accessible of the two.
(although - they may want to promote a first ever shit with Iron Clad which was only ever released for Evercade shit)
(Don't expect a Fatal Fury title for Wave 2) when Wave 3 comes, likely RBS
Metal Slug 3 makes the most sense for widest appeal. Although could want to flex their "overclocking" gimmick with Slug 2 - if it actually helps at all.
Brawler introduction: Sengoku 3 - looks the part, plays the part better than all in the library. (not my favorite but im thinking of strategy)
This one was tough but Im gonna say Shock Troopers 2nd Squad complete the series (could be the only time that is done)
Impressive 68K hacks, but what we really want is the games I listed, which belong on the Neo Geo.First NEW TITLES to come to AES+
- TOAPLAN -
Zero Wing (no surprise here with @h0ffman joining Plaion in January and went silent on this project in December)
Snow Bros - Zero Wing plaion homie has been live streaming development of this title.
