I lied, made some time for a bit of playing around before kids soccer.

Seems to be mostly working on my BackBit cart.

Only minor bug I've found so far is when you get the Longest Drive Contest indicator a bit of audio plays that says 'Old Links'. Hole preview, minimap, scoreboard, everything important seems good.

The people on reddit and bluesky complaining that the Australia course isn't on there are totally planning to make repro carts of this. Just wait until we see the first "Neo Turf Masters Scotland Course" carts on Aliexpress.

But yeah mostly playing it on Fightcade is the big win I think.

Whole new Scotland match play meta ready to start up, do you risk the double rock skip on 2 for an easy Eagle with a Give Up risk? I need to watch my videos to even remember half the shots when I was chasing scores.

Especially since Match Play defaults to Level 8 and there are holes that are impossible with certain golfer/wind combos. Will be good for lulz for sure.

Just a heads up for those using a backbit, you can use neodecode.exe to convert it to something usable by the cart.

That would involve putting the Scotland course in the middle of the course selection screen, which would work but there must be a way to disable the emblems that appear in said middle to put the course with the original four. We would have the definitive version of Neo Turf Masters.

Was just updated to v1.05 which fixed several small bugs. Updated file at the github or PM me and I can email you a zip if you need help patching it (but I'm retarded and I managed to do it).

Quite new to MVS, I also have a bootleg Neo Turf Masters cart. Presumably if I dump the relevant chips I can patch using the IPS files and re-flash to new chips?

I only clicked because I was curious what your BackBit version was since I just use the MAME sets and they all work great, something I really like about the cart compared to the Darksoft and .neo nonsense that need to have special roms created.
