I am very excited for this game, yet again due to the pedigree, due to making sonic 1 on sms.

Indeed this is way more legit than most (any) postmortem Genesis releases.

Participation from Sega on some level would be nice. Official logos, quality PCB, etc.

He said something similar when Streets of Rage 4 was being developed. Game releases and it turns out he only worked on 3 of the music tracks.

I guess he has time to prove me wrong.

I'd love to see it offered as DLC for this:

If we really want to get nuts, let M2 port it to Switch as part of Sega Ages.

I couldn't care less about a physical cartridge in 202X.

I couldn’t care less about Genesis games that won’t work on my Genesis.
I respect the challenge that it presents to developers, like GG Aleste 3 from M2. Retro games irritate me, because they're largely designed that way to reduce cost and/or hide talent deficiencies, but releasing games that can run on actual hardware, even if they're digital, is more compelling.
