I don't get it either. For some reason, they think it's funny to waste massive amounts of time programming a game to ruin it with infantile fart and squishy noises.

Maybe they are trying to remake it fever dream style /Trio the punch. Colonel Sanders did make his appearance in Trio. Maybe The King / Burger King mascot will appear in it. I was just waiting for him to drop out of that burger instead of the claw ninja boss.

I'm a huge fan of Bad Dudes. Played it a ton on an actual cab after school back on its release, so a port that's as close to 1:1 as possible on the Neo would be great imo. I find that their implementation of "humor" detracts from their products.
The added parallax in stage 1 is a nice touch, and I also like the added feature of hitting projectiles back at the enemy. The new music sounds good to me but it's way too loud and drowns out the sound fx.
Personally, I like the route that the dev of Final Fight MD chose to go with. An original mode as close as possible to the original game, but a "Mega" mode that expands on the game with extra characters, colors, moves, ect. is also an option.

Personal preference I guess but I like the mix. With lots of games the effects drown out the music.

The game was remade from the ground up (graphics, sound, controls, gameplay) following the intellectually superior game designs exposed in this old video
Because that's what we wanted to do.
You can still choose to play a "classic" mode instead of the "burger" mode in the options menu if you prefer something closer to the original, without the extra interactions/enemies/boss/level.
