This show is bad at showing the passage of time. Apparently Grogu was with Luke for over two years.

So now we know why Andor looked so much better and more expensive than all the other Star Wars shows.

Apparently season 1 cost over 250 million dollars to produce.

Now I'm worried season 2 will have a drastic budget reduction.

all it will take is indy 6 and a live action remake of bambi...maybe one last star wars movie.
Star Wars 9 was the worst one yet and it made 1.1 billion dollars. The only Star Wars that bombed was Solo and that's because they fired the director halfway through and replaced him with Ron Howard which pretty much doubled the budget.

So we have some confirmation about why there was such a big drop in quality from The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 to season 3. Dave Filoni was the uncredited second unit director for the majority of the episodes in seasons 1 and 2, in addition to the 3 episodes he wrote/directed himself. For season 3, Filoni was so busy with Ahsoka that the only real input he had was co-writing two episodes. He didn't direct any and he didn't work as second unit director on any.

And Filoni didn't work as second unit director on Boba Fett, either. He co-wrote and directed episode 6 (the one with Cad Bane, Cobb Vanth, Luke, and Ahsoka, Mando, and Grogu) and that was it.

So Mando seasons 1 and 2 are what you get with Filoni and Favreau together.
Mando season 3 and Boba Fett are what you get with Favreau left largely to his own devices.
Clone Wars is what you get with Filoni and George Lucas together.
Bad Batch and Resistance are what you get when Filoni picks a showrunner to delegate to.
Rebels and Tales of the Jedi are what you get with Filoni left to his own devices.

Ahsoka is another one of the latter, with Filoni largely helming it solo.

Nobody cares anymore.

Disney has ruined everything they own, even casual fans can see that.

Yeah pretty much and I say that as someone who even watched Marvel films in the theater post-Endgame.

Now I just don’t care.

I still enjoyed Mandalorian season 3 for the most part—except the Jack Black and Lizzo episode. What the fuck happened there, lol. Andor was also really good as people have said. Really enjoyed the heist and prison break mini arcs plus the bureaucracy and politicking within the empire
