Vehicle Assembly Building. Door was open but couldn't see Artemis 3 which is being stacked inside right now.

Ok, home and got a chance to look for some better videos. Here are some interesting ones. My understanding is that tracking shots from Engineering will be better and forthcoming at somepoint. I sure hope so.

NASA 360 view

Timestamped to launch for best video from a Youtuber. He stands in front of it like a doof, but the downward shot during engine ignition is great.

On board from NASA, great shot during booster separation

Not sure why they aren't in the album yet but some of the first photos from the flyby period are now showing up on news sites.

Earthset (counter to Apollo 8's Earthrise), presumably Orion will have an Earthrise photo of its own too.

I meant to reply to this specifically, but I wanted to look first. Unfortunately I can't find a thread to see if it was this date in particular, but I think I only went to one arcade auction in Orlando and I met up with Nesagwa while I was there. I found a thread where I talked about going but didn't specifically note if Nesagwa was there.

The auction date was Feb 1st, 2003.

At some point there was a bit of a murmur and someone found a TV mixed in with auction items and got it plugged in and an antenna set up to put on the local news coverage of the first reports that where Columbia was supposed to be coming back was only streaks of fiery debris.

And that's where I was when I first heard that Columbia didn't make it back.

This is a canon-worthy post.

A bunch more views here but in particular, watch the beautifully tracked shot from an airborne Cessna if you want to wash the taste of the official broadcast video out of your mouth. 19:25 if the timestamp doesn't work right.

SpaceX was chosen to supply the lander for Artemis III. They're still working on it but apparently it will be ready by 2028. Seems optimistic.

Thought it was supposed to be ready next year to test linking up with Artemis 3 in earth orbit and then Artemis 4 would do the same and land on the moon in ‘28. Unless the info i read was old (was on NASA’s website.)
