i consider that a fair trade more than a lopsided trade. hawks needed to get one more first or williams instead of fucking lock.

Broncos fans had already resigned themselves to losing 3 firsts and Surtain to get Wilson or Rodgers in here. We're all ecstatic.

Fant is solid. Wilson makes the Broncos a contender though. I can't wait to see Wilson on another team, that has an offensive line.

Great for the Broncos but they're still playing in the toughest division in football. Wilson just guarantees that they'll be competitive (provided he can stay on the field).

Broncos had the #3 scoring defense and #8 yardage defense last year and that was with an insane amount of injuries. Wilson has averaged 13 more passing TDs per season than the Broncos offense since 2017, he's the missing piece.

The Broncos right now have the most complete roster in the AFC. Their skill position guys and their defense were already elite.

They're going to sign Von Miller back on the first day of free agency, too. So they ended up trading him for a starter and 3 draft picks, then will sign him back for a small fraction of the cap hit.

Like the sun setting in the west.

Ignoring that the Broncos defense was 20th in the league by DVOA (an actual weighted metric that doesn't just count meaningless numbers without context) and their special teams were 30th, simply adding Russell Wilson doesn't make your team a prohibitive favorite at anything. It means you no longer have the worst QB in your division and can go deep in the playoffs if things like injuries and schedule break your way. Congrats. You're now like 8 other teams in the AFC.

This isn't getting peak Tom Brady. If you're lucky, you'll be the Rams getting Matt Stafford (an above average QB that brings competence to a floundering unit). The problem, of course, is that the Rams went to the Super Bowl three years earlier without him because they ACTUALLY have an elite defense and a proven head coach, not Aaron Rodgers' waterboy who may or may not know his ass from a hole in the ground.

Good luck, Fami. I genuinely hope it works out for you and you can take basic's money. Just don't be shocked when they lose in the first round because they gave up 34 to Derek Carr and Justin Herbert again. Or Wilson gets crushed behind that line like Teddy Two-Gloves did. Or Hackett ends up being another dud offensive coordinator propped up by a great QB.

Upgrade for the Broncos for sure. But Wilson isn't an Élite QB anymore. He is a very good QB. Do the Broncos even have any receivers of note? Will Sutton and Patrick be able to replicate Locket and Metcalf?.

Did the Broncos give away a chance at drafting a franchise QB and other players for an aging QB that will give them a handful of first round playoff exits?

But hey, at least they got the 5th best QB in the AFC and won't have to start a taxi squad WR under center.

Sutton made a pro bowl with Brandon Allen and Drew Lock throwing him the ball. He was coming off an ACL injury last year and the QB situation was a disaster, but he's still a good receiver.

Jerry Jeudy had 850+ yards his rookie year, hurt last year. Should benefit greatly as he's primarily a deep threat. Bridgewater didn't throw deep and Drew Lock couldn't hit the broad sign of a barn.

Tim Patrick is a possession receiver. He's pretty much going to play the same way no matter who throws him the ball.

I hope he plays for another 5-6 years.
I honestly kinda think he and Rodgers refuse to let the other one be the last big story.

Gonna blow both their minds when Mitch Trubisky wins MVP this year.

What are they gonna get for him? A second round pick and someone to take that contract?
