Yea, I wasn’t a huge fan of the “new” series. Super floaty with everyone and it just felt like, eh, let’s release a new Mario game but don’t put too much effort into it. 3D world stomped all over those games sadly.

I am a huge fan of the "new" series. The music and graphics weren't great, I give you that, but the platforming was excellent. Wonder is good but the seeds were a little too gimmicky and disruptive for me. 3D World and Bowser's Fury do stomp.
Mario Kart World is really solid and has a great foundation to build on. It's not going to convert anyone who doesn't already like Mario Kart. I expect it to get patched and have a bunch of free updates + paid DLC. In a few years it will be an excellent game just like how MK8 --> MK8 Deluxe.
I'm also kind of blown away at how much better BOTW and TOTK perform and look now on Switch 2. Probably old news for people who've been emulating them but they're almost like new games to me

She was Nintendo in my post, but you're right. That too. The cognitive dissonance of people complaining about the Switch 2 and Nintendo fans posting pics of excitedly receiving their outdated processor with a subpar LCD like it's their first console launch on twitter was jarring.

We're also the first generation to grow up with these kinds of distractions. We are the vanguard of faggitry. We are sort of caught between generational attitudes- equidistant to both the 'grow up and be a man' and 'stay home and be a faggor' generation. We were lucky enough to have our cake and eat it too, for the most part. The millenials got fucked.
