The restructure is bogus. No more contracts. Running it like a territory…when territories are DEAD.

The new paradigm being all mercenaries-what happens when your Champion just bounces for bookings elsewhere?

I just don’t see how they can run weekly TV, when your talent may be somewhere else by next week.

*i realize TNA was per appearance for almost everyone back in the day; however, is being a Champion for a promotion by night, while you manage a Sunglasses Hut by day what we should be shooting for in 2021?

*stares in Taylor Wilde*

I think the big problem is they aired repeats for a whole year and it got about the same ratings as the new episodes, so the parent company wondered why they were paying millions of dollars for talent.

Like I said, wrestling is dead. AEW is going all in with sponsored promos and celebrities and all the WWE bullshit.

When your show is airing on a Sunday night at 11:00 PM or on a Saturday evening, It doesn't make much of a difference if the show is a rerun.

Part of it is also ROH depended waaaaaaaaaaaaay to hard on the elite and their buds + NJPW treating them like a red headed step child. Once the elite bounced so did everyone who watched specifically for them and ROH at the time didn't have anyone to fill the void because they didn't bother to build up anyone. IMO ROH has a roster that is amazing but no one really wanted to give them the time of day anymore either because no elite, the Marty connection and Sinclair never really giving a shit and never put money into it, hell even their dvds which use to be their #1 thing is damn near nonexistent.

Going digital and creating their own version of the network was a right call but the fact that it has a tier system and wasn't an app on a console/Roku/AppleTv/FireStick hurt it cause it is 2021 and I am not opening up a web browser on a computer to watch your shit no matter how much I like you.

MLW is also jettisoning a ton of talent right now.

Maybe it would be best if Anthem (Impact's parent company) just bought ROH and MLW. Impact sucks too, but I'd rather they get those video libraries than shit ass WWE or Tony Khan.

Sounds like ROH isn't trying to sell the video library. Seems like the plan is to transition back into a super indie rather than a small major and continue airing cheap new content and legacy content on TV and streaming platforms. They might just end up being PWG East.

In shitty news, both Mance Warner and Danhausen broke their legs in separate matches at the same indie show in Tennessee. Warner was hurt in a match with shit ass former WWE wrestler Fandango while Danhausen was injured in a tag team match.

Here's hoping Orange Cassidy and Bryan Danielson can both avoid Brock Lesnar-ing themselves and/or becoming raging alcoholics until the next PPV!

Mass releases hitting Impact right now too. TJ Perkins, Taylor Wilde, No Way Jose released, Petey Williams is trying to become a WWE producer, Tommy Dreamer officially gone after his recent cancellation.

MLW also releasing even more talent, and their Lucha Underground ripoff thing seems to be canceled due to WWE getting Tubi to pull their TV deal.

This coupled with the recent ROH news and AEW completely sucking balls.

So yeah, wrestling is dead as fuck.

Oh, and indie wrestler Matt Tremont will remain hospitalized for weeks after suffering severe burns in another stupid fucking botched ass Onita exploding deathmatch.

New lows across the board.

And moxley is going to rehab.
At least he's doing something about it BEFORE he ended up killing someone with his car, hurting someone in the ring, or drowning in a puddle of his own puke like so many alcoholic wrestlers before him.

Rumors of another round of mass WWE releases coming up.

Only now there's only one other place to go.

So in the last 3 months at least 50 on-screen wrestlers have been fired from WWE in addition to about a dozen from Impact, about half of MLW, and the entire ROH roster (they're still getting paid though the end of the year but that's it).

Dana Brooke's husband Uly Diaz arrested today for showing up at an internet troll's house and punching the guy in the face.

Diaz is a pro fighter:
12-1 in pro boxing (11 KO)
2-1 in pro bare knuckle boxing (2 KO)
1-0 in pro MMA (1 KO)

So be basically Jay and Silent Bob'ed it, good for him! Who cares about gainful employment afterward.

He's a professional face puncher, punching people in the face doesn't really hurt his chances to punch more people in the face

Went to the NJPW show in San Jose since I’m a local and I had a blast, took friend who has never watched pro wrestling and she also had fun. She’s also now a hardcore Okada fan
