Anyone psyched for it?

I bought 2 copies, one for me, one for my girlfriend who loved the first one.

8h Singleplayer + 8h Coop looks like a good deal

Mine should be waiting on my door step tomorrow when I get home from work. Very excited to pop it in. I've got an old friend from Florida lined up to play through co-op with.

Don't discard HL2:Ep3 surprises... the last ARG stunt is a morse message talking about the Borealis ship at the end of Ep2 sent to "CJ" as in Cave Jonhson

I was tempted to get the 360 version too, until I found out that if you buy the PS3 version you'll get the PC/Mac version for free when you register the PS3 version on Steam. Seems like a deal I can't pass up.

LOL, Gamefly just shipped me the 360 version. Guess I will be playing it on the 360 after all.

If anyone happened to collect all 36 potatoes, check your Steam. You just got the Valve complete pack for free.

As did I. It's really just a warm up to get you acquainted (or reaquainted, assuming you played Portal before) with the game mechanics. But once you hit that point, it really picks up and you realize the scale of this game compared to the original. This game is so damn good.

I love the script. I generally don't care about story in games, but the writing in this makes me hang on every word just because it's so well written and pretty funny. Voice acting is some of the best ever in a game. The little details are a nice touch too. I'm reading every object and poster I come into contact with. I'm just taking my time with this.

They really don't hold your hand on this stuff either. I've gotten snagged on a couple things after chapter 5/6, but I eventually figure it out and it's quite rewarding. Taking a break from this until tomorrow. Can't wait to try co-op out.

Fucking potato science!

Last day to snap this up for a net of $35 on Amazon!

I have too many other things to play, otherwise this looks like an awesome release day price.

I finished the single player campaign in about 10 to 11 hours today. I'm heading out of town for an extended weekend, tomorrow, and wanted to get play through it before I left... I'm beat... I was definitely stumped a couple of times, but it was basically a lot more of the same this time around. Even a few of the puzzles felt completely ripped from the first. Not that I really minded. I had a great time playing it, and next week when I'm back in town and near my Xbox I'll have a go at the coop story. I see a lot of people are complaining about this taking 5 to 8 hours to complete. Maybe if you're using a guide, but I was moving at a pretty good clip throughout. 10 to 12 seems more realistic for someone who isn't just trying to run through it. Now that it is all said and done, I also appreciated that this time was balanced equally between running/exploring and testing. It definitely didn't feel like two half games like the first did. Anyway, now to sleep...

I got stumped on one last night that just made me put the game down. I feel like I half have this one puzzle solved, but I'm missing one thing from it. I kept thinking about it while I was getting ready for work this morning trying to work it out in my head.

It's driving me nuts! :D

I'm not a huge fan, but my old lady was saying she was let down by how short it was. She finished it in about 6 hours.

I'll probably get around to playing it soon since she's bugging me to do the co-op mode with her.

Heh, maybe my cognitive abilities were failing me trying to play it late last night... There's a good way to extend game play. Just play it straight through to physical and mental exhaustion! Seriously though, I started playing in the afternoon, stopped, watched some TV had some food, then went back to it. I don't really know how long it took me to complete, but it definitely felt more than 6-8 hours. Who knows. I'm probably happier about it due to the fact I'm renting it and haven't spent more than a few bucks on it thanks to that... It definitely felt "long" when I was trying to wrap up chapters 8 and 9 ;)

That, and or I'm dumb.

$35 net? How did you get that number?

Gone now but they had it at $54.99 + $20 Amazon credit. Good for anything. Razor blades, vitamins, soap, whatever. Gotta love Amazon's pricing. Credits usually last 3-5 months. If all you get are video games, just keep rolling them over and you'll always be paying $40 for new releases.

Just beat the single player campaign last night. Pretty amazing game...

If anyone wants to play some co-op, PM me. I've got the PS3 version, so I guess I can play with PC/Mac folks too. Pretty cool. My PSN ID is HeartlessNinny by the way.

I should point out that I don't have a mic though. Apologies in advance.

The game has been a breeze so far, but I hit a pretty tough puzzle.
Currently taking a break and hoping I can get my bearings straight again.
