I dunno why it's such a hot topic at all. Why can't people be more secure with what they do and like? Who cares if they think you're whatever they think you are, it's your life, your money, your fun. Critisizing other peoples' preferences or weird tastes is a waste of time.

Yes, excessive vg collecting or nostalgia may be a sign that you have lost control (or never gained it in the first place) over your life but that's not always the case. It's just another way to have fun while it lasts, and even if it costs loadsamoney, so what, as long as it doesn't affect your daily life in a negative way, I say go for it, tell 'em all to meet ya at Fuck You Street and do your thing.

Hello, my name is Tak, I'm 55 years old and still buy and play video games, both old and new (well, mostly old). If you like it, good, come on over and let's have fun. If you don't like it or think I should act my age and really do something more worthwhile in my spare time, please stand upside down with your head in a bucket of piranha fish. Thank you.
Heh, are you new here? It's not a "topic." It's this forum's usual trolling/online bullying. Grown-ass men still acting like high schoolers for the lolz.

I used to buy LCD games...like Tiger shit. I'm like an ex-drug addict telling people not to use drugs. I mean, I'll still tell 'em...but I have a tarnished past. Not to mention, my current fave console is probably the Taito Egret 2 Mini...so nobody should listen to me.

I told myself I'd only buy videogames as a way to distract myself from sniffing glue.

Then I told myself, I'd stop buying videogames, and just sniff glue.

Now, I only buy videogames when I'm sniffing glue.

I guess I'm just too neurotypical to understand any of this. Sorry, pal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Whenever someone says, "Why tf do I need multiples of this thing?" it reminds me of that old Kids in the Hall sketch with the plungers. One of my favorites.

I love the Neo CD, but three front loaders?? Why?

A spare unit for part-out, maybe. Although, again, if you're into playing the games, the top loader is a much better choice (if you can't afford, or don't want a CDZ).

If you're wanting to play the actual CDs then emulation or the upcoming Superstation1 with the dock would be the best choice.
