He's a fucking degenerate crybaby who watches vomit porn.
Dude, i collect horror movies as well. My favorite indie label is Unearthed and the Lucifer Valentine films are part of their releases. I sold that set a while ago, cause i can't stomach that shit. I gave it a go, but there is no artistic merit to those films at all.

I'm in on the current order for the SD loader so I had to bite the bullet:

And my first test case:

Spoiler:

I fucked up and burned the game without music and used up my only free CD-R. Oh well. The game loads so the disc drive appears to be working. I have 1 legit game showing up later this week and the mod kit should show up a week or 2 after that.

Now the wait for playing Scotland begins.
Is it still possible to buy SD loaders? I remember furrtek had stopped making them right before I had even heard about them last summer. My NCD drive still works pretty well, but I'd like to get one to eventually.

furrtek is still planning SD loaders for front-loaders:

I got one for a top-loader from this site:

They were letting people get on a waiting list if they missed the window back in August. You can click the Discord link on that page.

And now, if you like weird italian cabs... here's two recent purchases of mine, still very dirty, fresh from an arcade operator warehouse. They're both Sipem cabs: Sipem was a big manufacturer from my city that held the official licenses for software houses like Namco and even SNK back then (alongside another company, Gevin... you might've seen those blue cabinets). Some cabs were branded Neo Geo; others, like this one, weren't, but the Jamma harness is wired for stereo MVS (and as you can see, the button layout is clearly for an MVS board).

The funny thing is, when I took it home I've discovered it had a contraption for rotating the 25" Hantarex monitor... it's all operated from the front, there's no back panel at all - not a smooth operation like a candy cab, mind you, but still reasonably easy.

The other Sipem cab is a generic Jamma vertical driving cab... looks a bit cheap with all the plastic and stickers in the front panel, but the steering wheel and shifting gear feel really sturdy. Well, it's all about nostalgia, these were the most common cabs I could find in arcades when I was little.

Wow, that cab looks seriously over-engineered. Interesting rotation mech!

"Over-engineered" is a great way to put it... First, you have to remove the front glass and a hard plastic bezel (normal cabs had just black paperboard), then you must rotate the monitor horizontally so it's got room to be rotated vertically... and when you do the first rotation, the CRT neck comes insanely close to the wood panel: I mean, it can't be more than 2 mm. It's almost nerve-wracking, knowing how fragile it is, but it works 😅

From the outset the cab looked average but up close and personal it has a lot of character! Special cab for sure.

Thanks lachlan 👍 My first idea was using it for a 4 slot MVS board, but I never had a "tate" setup before... I've put a Rally Bike PCB that I had lying around (with an MVS to standard Jamma adapter) and I'm having lots of fun. Kinda underrated game, BTW
