Yes they are. Everything is expensive in the US. And that's the wife's hands. I have no nails. 20135.jpg

I actually had multiple people message me about making a Spring 2026 thread, I held off on it because I was worried you guys thought it was too facebook-ey? I haven't actively looked out spring moments this year as I have in past years, but I guess I have walked into some spring moments the past few weeks.

Here is the Spring Break 2026 Wild 'n Out edition, NSFW:

Toads in amplexus, the male is on top:

Duck gangbang rape, two-on-one, honestly hard to watch:

Hey, at least this seems consensual! I had heard the male making sounds like I had never heard before, and thought it was sick or something - then I saw it found a friend and thought 'oh it was calling out its friend to play', and then this happened:

Looking for roker's mum (sorry roker I had to do it):

I'd love to post a nice picture of spring in the foothills... unfortunately, it's still very much winter around here.

Took the car out of storage for the season this week, and spent the afternoon driving up and down the coast. Stopped off in Grand Haven to walk the pier. It was a beautiful day, a bit brisk though, wore my coat.

Whereas in the Arizona desert, spring had replaced winter and the last 2 weeks of March had 100+ degree weather. We may finally get a cooldown back into the mid 80's by next Tuesday.

Sorting out pics from March when the season started, condensed the images easier to load so my bad for pixelation.

10, 15 minute dogwalk from home:

More blossoms and a black swan:

Saw this lil homie sunbathing while on a walk during my lunch break:

I think this is an Oriental Greenfinch, saw him two weeks ago and never again, must have been passing through:

Crabapple tree in full bloom next to a stone lion at a location of a former prince's mansion, access not given to people who don't work there except I asked the guard to give me a minute and he obliged. I visit here every spring and got lucky this time to not have any cars parked and block the view:

Not a fancy image but I was locking up the front door before heading out to work and saw some twigs dangling to my right in my peripheral vision. I was like 'what the fuck is that?' and lo and behold, I will have some new tenants this year. Melissa would have LOVED this.

I can't believe how fast that nest went up. On Saturday there wasn't anything there. Then this morning...bam. Nest.

I've read that only female house finches build nests, but I've been watching them for days and it's definitely both the male and female working on it. It may be the same pair as last year, since they're building it in the exact same spot. It's right outside my window so I got to watch them roost and hatch. The babies finally flew away early in the AM when I wasn't watching though.
