I have tidied up forums... Moved Forums.. merged Forums... and Created new forums...

The site is as tweaked as it can be... It's not our fault that people post threads in Unrelated or other sections...

What you're all suggesting is a full time "Thread Mover Mod...".. a massively Anal human being who will just sweep up and make things look right...

I am far too busy for that...

It wouldn't work Yoshi...

Some of the threads are a grey area... and not wholly gaming... and not wholly consoles...

Unless you have someone constantly moving threads and creating a discipline behind it... then the sticky would fail...

It is not like the market forum where the entire memberbase care enough to monitor it...

Unrelated is just that... Unrelated Threads... and so people will post what they feel in there...

You can't Police or discipline a thought control process....

One section for Neo Geo with all the following forums:

Neo Geo - for all news and discussion related to AES, MVS, and CD

Neo Geo Pocket - for all news and discussion related to NGP and NGPC

Hyper 64 - all HNG64 discussion

General SNK - for all discussion about SNK not directly related to a Neo system

Emulation/Ports - for all Neo Geo emulation for PC, console stores, Neo Geo X, ports of Neo games, compilations, etc

Tech support - All Neo Geo related tech support

Leave the markets alone. Do the same general categories for non-SNK gaming (news/discussion, tech, emulation, arcade stuff, etc) and then have Unrelated and War Room as-is

It's fewer than we have now though. It would combine news and general neo discussion, condense all the tech forums into two (neo and non-neo), combine shooters/gameplay/console gaming into one, etc.

And there would be much cleaner sections

There are other concerns than over-simplyfying the forums...

You'd need to add a few more forums... sub-forums...

The site would become one massive unintelligible fook fest....

If you look at the forums now... they are as simple as they can be...

I was in two minds about expanding out the market FAQS for ease of use... and may still merge them into the Market forums...

This reminds me about the argument anarchists have when they want to do away with capitalism, government and rules...

You'd just end up replacing it with something just as complex over time...

I happened to see the original and wrong area was my first thought. I usually don't bother with complaint threads so I initially let it be.

The forums are running well atm... why cause massive unrest with what I would consider "silly fiddling..."...

I confess there are a few redundant stickies and less popular forums... but they all have a place for now...

If it aint broke... why try and fix it?
