Mine's 3 years old, has an ms25 Samsung drive and never had a problem.

Aw fuck it! Let fate come in, it'll just give me an excuse to get me one of them fancy black ones anyway. Mine is about 3 or 4 years as well and still going strong, knock on wood. I just got a jap one as well but that fucker is loud as hell so I intall all the imports to the HDD.

Still on my first one but I've only had it since last Christmas. I don't really care if it dies on me though, I bought a warranty so I wouldn't have to fuck with sending it to MS. If it dies now I'll just go get me a new Elite.

I'm still on my 1st one that I got back in Christmas '07. I wonder if putting it on a milk crate on one of the sides with holes on it to be more specific prevents the 360 from getting red ringed?

I've had mine since launch and that baby is still running great( probably going to need a new dvd drive soon) i sometimes get a disc read error, but i upgraded to a 120gb hd and i just install all the games i play now.
