Not really played them like that.

Just read about a very rare game progress stopping bug on chapter 12. Save often in chapter 11! They're working on a fix

I thought Revelations 1 was great... especially given it was for a portable.

Never played 2 though
Played the Switch version. That Queen Zenobia boss voice was disturbing ^^

I know I'm a dissenting voice here but seriously fuck this game.

This is now approaching RE6 levels of dislike for me. I so nearly rage quit last night it isn't even funny.

RE6 isn't deserving all the hate it gets. Yes its fucking stupid even for a RE game, but its very entertaining in coop and so stupid its funny. Throw in a couple of beers and its A+ class.

Well I hate RE6 because it's just too much of a departure from the established gameplay for my liking... I just abandoned it after about an hour, and never went back.

RE4:REmake... it's just stupid levels of frustrating... and it needn't be especially given the scope of the game (in terms of its sheer size/length... ooooerr)

I've lost count of the number of times I've had no ammo and 5 enemies to fight haha. RE1 levels of ammo with more enemies than the original 4. Jeez

That was my thought exactly on the start of the game but frankly I think the game is well balanced even on hardcore now that I got the hang of it, there's usually enough ammo and materials for everything in the stages to deal with all enemies and it's pretty obvious ganado drops are affected if you have low health or ammo. It feels like you never have enough ammo, but not really?

Just passed the cannon section from the castle. Fun stuff.

Ok, so get this - fucking pulling my hair out trying to wade through the average ganados fuckers, yet I manage to dispatch Saddler and complete the game inside of two minutes - no joke.

Sorry dude, this game is totally unbalanced imo.

Anyway, glad to have got that off my plate. I'll give it a few days I think before I see what it's llke playing it with tuned up weapons.

Salazar fight. I never enjoyed it on the original, I am not a fan of cheap one hit deaths - but it took me ten attempts here 🙈 fucker moves about so quickly. I'm pretty sure it's just me being a filthy casual nowadays tbh

I can't imagine what krauser is like on hardcore tbh. Some of it was easier than the original. Some of it definitely was not

There was also one part where I needed to get a certain tool, and was extremely lucky I had a previous save because I didn't have any of the right ammo to be able to get it. Almost completely soft locked myself right there. No gunpowder available so nothing I could have done.

I don't understand how you keep running so low on ammo... I mean, I went close to running out a few times, but not run as close to the wind as you!

Probably not doing enough melee attacks after tbh

8>4 though. The escorting was never that fun in 4 to begin with and always gave me a headache. Plus the second house in 8 is some of the best RE of all time

Trolling aside, doesn't this game have adaptive difficulty? Like the better you do the less ammo you get. The OG had this so I'm not sure if the remake does too

It does? Oh. Genuinely didn't know anything about any rank system in either this, or the original.

I got a pre-order "bonus" with my copy that gives you the bullet charm - how much of a difference that's made I couldn't tell you, and you should be able to "win" it in the shooting gallery anyway.

More often than not I'd get money other than ammo out of crates and the like. I don't know. All I do know is that I never want to play it on any difficulty from scratch ever again. I'd like to think I'm no scrub when it comes to RE games, but this really tested my limits of patience.
