Just a heads up if anyone prefers the Japan box art. It was cheaper for me ordering 3 games from their vs Amazon US site.Amazon Japan NG+ games and console
There is an added tariff and shipping charge of course when checking out on Amazon Japan, but it still ends up being cheaper somehow"USD 64.43" for the games. Hmm.
"USD 211.75" for the standard system.
I guess US prices are higher due to tariffs?

There were no extra charges with my last few orders from them, only the initial import charge. I do use a credit card with no international fees so I guess YMMV. And shipping takes up to a week vs getting it on release day with prime or whatever. But we’ve been playing these games for 20 years so that shouldn’t be an issue for most.Possible.
You still might have to pay import fees and your bank might charge you an exchange fee.
We finally get to own Metal Slug 1 without selling a kidney or starting an onlyfans.Forgive me father, for I have goobed. 1 system and 5 games in the bag
that's called MVS... ;pWe finally get to own Metal Slug 1 without selling a kidney or starting an onlyfans.
People that still have their original AES but want something easy with a HDMI cable to play their old games on a modern tv
People that missed out a few big hitter titles first time around and want to fill in the gaps
After buying both versions and all the carts
Also, another question would be whether it has an option to run games through HDMI, but with scanlines.
Standard scanline is a bit too basic, but running retro kit through my Morph4K I can get very nice CRT shaders.Does anyone actually like that fake scan line filter you get on emulators…
But.. you're from "the world"I wish to get the Ultimate but Plaion don't ship to my country, so I will settle for a normal console and a few games from Amazon or something.
A few side questions I have (probably hard to get an answer now but maybe there can be deductions seeing this is based on real hardware...
1. What HDMI resolution is expected? (I guess 1080p)
2. Scanlines and CRT shaders? (I guess just basic scanlines)
3. Will it have more than one crystal, one for original frequency and the other to match 60hz exactly to maximise compatibility? (I guess yes :P)
