I already went all in on the Ultimate bundle, but glad to see there's availability for the console now on Amazon.

Would be nice to grab an extra memory card and arcade stick, too.

"USD 64.43" for the games. Hmm.
"USD 211.75" for the standard system.

I guess US prices are higher due to tariffs?
There is an added tariff and shipping charge of course when checking out on Amazon Japan, but it still ends up being cheaper somehow 🤷

Possible.
You still might have to pay import fees and your bank might charge you an exchange fee.

There were no extra charges with my last few orders from them, only the initial import charge. I do use a credit card with no international fees so I guess YMMV. And shipping takes up to a week vs getting it on release day with prime or whatever. But we’ve been playing these games for 20 years so that shouldn’t be an issue for most.

People that still have their original AES but want something easy with a HDMI cable to play their old games on a modern tv

People that missed out a few big hitter titles first time around and want to fill in the gaps

this is why I got one. i got the standard system and some of the games from Amazon Jpn.

Isn't emulation (such as on the Neo Geo X) already quite accurate, compared to running original games on original hardware? Or, are there still some significant differences?
If it can run original games, then that must mean it's running games exactly as a real Neo Geo would?
Also, another question would be whether it has an option to run games through HDMI, but with scanlines.

I wish to get the Ultimate but Plaion don't ship to my country, so I will settle for a normal console and a few games from Amazon or something.

A few side questions I have (probably hard to get an answer now but maybe there can be deductions seeing this is based on real hardware...

1. What HDMI resolution is expected? (I guess 1080p)
2. Scanlines and CRT shaders? (I guess just basic scanlines)
3. Will it have more than one crystal, one for original frequency and the other to match 60hz exactly to maximise compatibility? (I guess yes :P)
