He's got 40 Patreon supporters. Between that and the Youtube ads for 42K subscribers, you'd be surprised how close you can get to being able to pay most of your monthly bills with a small Youtube channel. It's not a good living, but $1k or so a month is enough to get by if you're living simple and splitting rent with someone. Assuming he has a job and or disability payments, this is probably how he's getting by.

Maybe he has several thousand saved up just for game trading, which he uses to generate content. It would explain the constant collection churning.

Someone, with more time and talent than I have, needs to make a gif of Arnie from Red Heat tipping that fake leg upside down, but instead of coke coming out, needs to be neo geo carts - "Neo Geeum!"
