He was good on Homicide. I didn't watch any of the other shows. Also had a small role in Scarface that I remember.

He was also a standup comedian back in the day and was well respected by the best in the business. I like how because of him SVU, Homicide and The Wire are all connected, I always wondered whose idea that was.

He made a cameo in one of the very last espisodes of Season 5.

The irony is I've just finished bingeing on The Wire... wish there was someone streaming Homicide - the early seasons were awesome.

Genuinely sad about this. He and Ice T had some of the best episodes of SVU. Great character interactions and was a really good show when they were partnered up.

NOW however, the show, after Chris Meloni leaves, is complete garbage and super woke. Not sure why I still watch it...maybe because Ice T is still there?

If people haven't checked it out, highly recommend Law and Order: Organized Crime.

TLDR: RIP
