How can i tell if a shamurai shodown IV is the korean or the us version??

As far as I know the way to tell is if your cart (AES) or label (MVS) says "Made in Korea" on it. If on AES then check for missing Japanese voices and white blood, I could be wrong though.

SS4 seems to have the same rom set as the JP and US versions. Usually Korean versions will be missing voices like you said, usually a silkscreen on the mask rom will be different for the Korean version but in SS4's case it's the same so it's hard to tell by looking.
