Shadowgate to get 8bit sequel

This is being dubbed as the true sequel to shadowgate and not the TG16 version.Note this is being worked on by some of the original creators.

Buuut Is there a NES version. You can get a cartridge but out the text it is actually not very clear if there is an actual NES version

It is not. That would require us reprogramming the code from scratch and that just isn't on the table at this point.

8-bit retro games in general don’t do it for me. I can see the challenge of trying to work within the limitations of the NES in 2023, but to just go with that “style” is just either cheap or lazy. This was true when Capcom did it with Mega Man 9 and 10, and it still is. This thing is almost as expensive as Hi-Fi Rush, as an example of a recent solid budget release.

It’s been 3 years since 2020 super baseball and people still think hyper colorful pixel art games can be on the NES because it’s “8-bit”, lmbo
