Why would people be hoarding groceries during an eclipse?

LOL

I actually have the day off, and I'll be heading to the park at 2pm to check it out.

This has rekindled my interest in getting a sweet telescope. One of these days I will pull the trigger on a Meade Lightbridge 12" Dobsonian scope, or a good beginner astrophotography scope. But the rabbit hole is deep in that hobby.

Made it through, thankfully got some glasses and shared them with the office and we all went outside to kill an hour or so.

If you like Dogg's trippy masterpiece, then you'll love mine through my eclipse glasses with my iPhone 6.

You should send that to NASA, I'm sure it would be very helpful with research.

Best pic I got at the maximum ~80% in Pittsburgh. I know madman won't like it.

I didn't rotate the picture, it is a portrait picture, displaying in landscape but I'm too fucking lazy, so sue me.

OK.. you're standing in a field... with a lot of other people...

...The eclipse is happening... it is pitch dark...

Are you tempted to fondle some hawt chicks ass... and blame it on someone else?

PS. These are the sort of questions that keep me up at nights...

I am in disbelief that not one, but two people here took pictures behind safety goggles. Wow.

It took a solid pic...it was just round, it wouldn't reflect the blockage.

Like I said, I was just curious what it would look like.

that was more fun than expected. I went to a public park where everyone was getting into it.

I didn't care enough to bother. I already have the special glasses to look at it but I left them at home. I saw the eclipse in the 90s. Been there, done that. Lunar eclipses are cooler anyways.

PS: Trump can look at the sun no probs because he is one of those reptile people.

The last one viewed from America was in 1979.

Of course it was storming all morning and the clouds didn't clear up until long after the eclipse.
I didn't see shit.

I'm in the Knoxville area but photos of the sun didn't turn out at all for me, but a buddy of mine in Nashville got some great shots. Pretty awesome when moments before all the bugs immediately started chirping.

lovely pic. there's something very fucking awesome in witnessing this type of thing, in a world where we've seen it all before and live amongst apps and text messages
