EDIT: Just to clarify, by "Medium Difficulty" I'm referring only to the DIP Switch settings on the PCB and whatever the equivalents are under emulation. Take any of the three courses you want to maximize your score.

Advanced course bosses all seem Max rank no matter how careful you play the game.

I can’t get too far on stage 6 on the rare occasion I can get past the boss(es) in stage 5 on advanced

Playing these games makes me think Yagawa was a high functioning autist. I know other games have rank, but his games just seem more particular about it and the way the game suddenly changes the second you're playing well is sometimes evil. Ibara is the worst at this though. Fuck that game.

Not my highest score ever I think I hit 5.1 before, but still a good score nonetheless.

Sobut is the best case scenario if you trigger the extra boss. He’s the only extra I can beat. Envy is crazy tough.

Quick tip for Sobut: either learn how to dodge that initial attack by lining up with him perfectly in the middle and moving as he does (tall order) or use a bomb if you have it right away.

Otherwise you’re probably going to lose a life and pray he doesn’t do that attack again if you do make it out alive.
