Finally got a chance to drop a cred. Crap run, but here we go. You're supposed to avoid the medals, right?
No, the opposite actually, game has a ranking system, the medals keep giving you more points as long as you keep catching them without missing any.

You can avoid the small powerups and options (2 are usually fine) since the game also has a difficulty setting that adjusts on the fly the more powered up you are or the better you do, so if you don't want it to be too hard you should keep that in mind. If you are not familiar with the levels don't focus on this tho, just focus on survival and patterns.

That was a joke, my dude 👀 :p

It was a dumb way of saying that I managed to miss most of the medals, haha.

Does your metal chain stop if you miss the metals on the ground or if you just miss the “falling” ones?

Do you get more points for the same object if your rank is higher?

The powerups give you more points if collected in surplus: small shot is 100 pts, large shot is 5000pts, option is 500 pts, small weapon bullet is 1000 pts, large weapoin bullet is 10,000pts, one up doesn't do anything since it's impossible to get it in surplus, because there is only a single one in the entire game in Stage 3.

As long as you keep to this strategy, you can miss any, falling or on the ground.

Any suggestions on ship type? I can’t get over the hump of the level three boss. I usually take the last ship on the list.

Also since the PS4 has the arcade, Saturn, and arranged soundtrack I was messing around with those and the Saturn soundtrack is quite different I must say.

When you go to select your ship, select it by hitting all three action buttons (1 + 2 + 3 on the arcade PCB) at the same time. That selects an Alternate version of the ship with more speed and firepower.

I’ve been using the Wild Snail Alternative - it’s a good mix of firepower and speed for me.

Ralfakick 1,483,250 level 4 PS4

Finally got past that third level boss. I switched to a stick with a bat top and I always think I play a little better on a bat top vs. a ball top or pad with regards to shooters, even though I feel like I’m going to break the stick off sometime lol.

Also just a heads up I think you have Ballz on the leaderboard twice
