I'd love to play it on an actual Game Gear - either with an Everdrive or an actual cart if they would produce one.

Isn’t it on one of those game gears for ants? It’s a surprise it hasn’t been available.

Speaking of old portables that Andros Dunos 2 for 3DS is awesome, I just played it for the first time yesterday

Thanks man 🙏

Also bagged up GG Aleste right after I posted for the hell of it, I guess. Finished with like 21 lives in stock, haha.

I promise I'm gonna stop, but I bagged up GG Aleste 2 yesterday, thus completing the GG Aleste triple crown. This one doesn't present your final score at all, but I was quick with the phone this time.

That’s what’s up!! Sick 1cc trifecta :buttrock:

For bonus points you could try disabling slowdown on GG Aleste 3 and go for another clear

That was fuckin' tough, and I stayed up way too late last night grinding, but I got 'em.

1298400 stage 5 switch

That stage 5 boss is an asshole when he takes your power up.

1,593,500 Stage 6 and I fell apart really bad on that last one. I think I had four ships going into that stage and I fucked up royally.

Stage 5 boss is a bit of an asshole, no doubt. The laser patterns are a bit weird to figure out.

Also, chain deaths in this game are really real. From stage 5 boss on, the game gets pretty rough.

Finally, I think F absolutely destroys on stages 6 and 7. That was kinda the last piece of the puzzle for me. Dunno if that will work for everybody.

Yeah, still trying to figure out Stage 6. I replayed it over and over again to try and get the hang of it. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get another few tries in. I can't imagine how tough stage 7 is with 6 kicking my ass so bad.

Stage 7 isn't too bad after you have Stage 6 down, but the Stage 7 boss (TLB) has some tough patterns. It's handy having practice mode available to be able to run through the later stages/bosses.

Nice, I have found I like the 'C' weapon the best but I could see 'F' being helpful especially at higher power-up levels.

I think it's a toss up on which is tougher between 6 and 7, for whatever that's worth. Routing does actually kinda matter on both stages. Stage 6 boss is cake town though. A lot more dodging required on stage 7, I guess.

Ran a couple creds a couple nights ago. I thought it would be a lot easier coming off of no slowdown, but it wasn't. Like, at all. I underestimated it considerably. Bagged it up again, but didn't get a better score. Still fun though.

The music in this game, btw... Sheesh. So good.

Manabu Namiki is the shmup music master.

Favorite track from GG Aleste:

Love the stuff he did with Raizing and Cave.

He's had a hand in a hilarious amount of legendary shooting music, no doubt. I think I like stage 5 and stage 7 music the most. And stage 2 boss music. That shit is insane.
