I'm sure panda's meat will beat me, but I put a couple of rounds in Striker's yesterday to try out which plane I liked most.

Come on people, make it easier on me and use the score entry format!

19XX:
NAME - SCORE - STAGE - SHIP

Strikers 1945 Plus:
NAME - SCORE - STAGE - SHIP - SYSTEM

Chosen One - 4,485,600 - Stage 6 - US pcb

What ship?

I haven’t played this game seriously in 23 years, but I remember there was a spot on stage 2 or 3 on the right side that looked like a warehouse where you could fire at it and it would keep dropping medals infinitely.

Chosen One - 5,069,600 - Final Stage - Mosquito

Not my highest scoring run but my deepest. Was on the second form of the final boss

Are you guys using the charge shot a lot or mostly tapping for the rapid fire?

You’ve got to use both. I build up a charge shot to hit larger enemies, then continue using tap rapid fire for crowd control + greater damage while your charge shot is going off.

I’m only familiar with mosquito though, not sure if the other planes have different charge shots.

Agreed, that’s my play style too. It’s hard to 100% a stage without doing it that way as the homing shots do pretty significant collateral damage.

I play Mosquito for the boosted spread shot but most 1cc videos are playing Lightning which trades the boosted spread for the heavier homing damage.

End of Stage bonus is the big score, shot % increases your rank (multiplier) faster. Your bonus that gets multiplied from beating bosses quicker is:

S Rank - 50k
A - 10k
B - 7k
C - 5k

Picking up the same power up after max gives 5k, 10k, 20k up to 80k. I usually grab bombs when available though so I don’t get much score from the power ups.

Alright. I'm trying to get the first stage boss S Rank. I can get an A Rank, but dang! How do y'all kill that plane in under 10 seconds? I can't get the homing lock onto the fuselage until I take out the tail and the amount of time to charge my shot for both the tail and the fuselage eats up the 10 second window.
