lonesage you big gay, I wanted to photograph some puffins for you, but I didn't work out because of low tide/high tide times (the island is only accessible during low tide), so I have failed you.

but if you look closely here you can see some seagulls nesting in the cliff

There’s a group of guys that hunt ‘Guga’ seabirds each year from north of the Isle of Lewis. I don’t mind the idea of it so much, just I bet the meat tastes awful.

"It tastes a bit like salt mackerel but far stronger. So although it is fowl it tastes like strong fatty fish!"

ahh scotland, your "cuisine" will never not manage to surprise me

I survived there mostly by protein bars, premade meals from Lidl and Tesco, loaded chips and beef jerky, typical UK visit for me.

As per Scottish cooking 101: the flavour would likely benefit from batter, deep fat frying, salt and brown sauce.

And this is the side yard. There's a path in the woods with multiple branching routes. I've found several frogs back here, and I hear coyotes all the time. I've heard that they're actually coyote / wolf mixes, which is good because they're more afraid of humans than standard coyotes.

I guess it's still technically spring despite a week of mid to high 90 temps. Creekside at a friend's cabin on beerfest weekend in Ohiopyle, PA.

Bro...

Bro. You're living my dream. Nice man. Man, I would love to hear coyotes howl.

edit: I am not your mother, but I am proud of you. Your hard work has paid off.

Lovely! Love those big angular windows.

Did you just move recently? It's going to look especially amazing in a nice wintery snow storm.

Thanks! I moved in August, and we made it through the winter without a problem, luckily. I think it was just because of how mild the season was. I had my roof shovel ready to go, but I never needed it. The previous owner had installed heating wires on the roof, so I was nervous about ice damming, but I'll have to wait for a snowier winter to figure that one out.
