I took my lab out for a 10 mile walk last Friday because the weather was surprisingly cool. Getting some good long walks in before the heat makes it too much for that many miles.
Dude when they get old, please recognize they cant do that anymore.
Absolutely enjoy it while it lasts. What a wonderful pastime.

Had to kinda have that convo with Katie. One dog is large, one is small. Theyre both 11 years old now. Small dog still loves a mile walk, she used to love endless walks. Big dog now literally tries to lay down anything longer than one block. She cant handle it anymore.

Yeah absolutely. She's 8 this year, I know she doesn't have but a few years left to keep going on these long walks, which she loves, so I don't waste a chance if we have time for a five hour walk. We live close to a river so I'll take her swimming in summer which is better for her joints.

Back in the USA just in time for EF3 Tornado to go down my street. My house took the hit fairly well (not pictured) Roof damage and windows blown out. But the neighborhood was a mess. I live in an area known for historic trees. Four of my 50+ year old Maples were ripped out of the ground. Thankfully, my damage is tolerable and repairable.

Word of caution, your car is not safe in these storms. The injuries and deaths were mostly people in cars. I have 20+ examples of crushed cars.IMG_2228.jpgIMG_5237.JPEGIMG_5240.JPEGIMG_5057.jpgIMG_5076.jpgIMG_5035.JPEG

It's livable, but bad weather may make it worse. My direct neighbor is condemned at the moment.
Couple months to get this sorted, and I should be fine.
Man I know what its like. If you need anything or just someone to vent to let me know.

Something I hope I never have to experience. Best of luck to you and your community.

We have tons of chipmunks around here.

It sucks because the are super cute and hilarious, but they're also annoyingly invasive and plenty of them make their homes in our walls.

Spring became Summer on the day we decided to paint our pool.

90+ degrees here and zero cloud cover.

We just have to do the second coat on the sides/top.
