So, whatcha all doing for turkey day tomorrow? I've got to work, like I usually do, but I get time and a half, plus a full 8 hours of bonus holiday pay on top of that. Union dues tend to pay for themselves. 😂

Yep, racked up 24 hours of holiday pay in this 2 weeks. i get off work at 6 am tomorrow. Gonna go home, sleep, wake up, make some homemade pizzas (more like barely manage to help the GF make pizzas since im still operating with only one arm mostly) and then ill drink malt liquor (shell drink wine) and play mutation nation and puzzle bobble.

Off since the store's closed however they made me work today, which is my normal day off so the status quo was maintained. I will head to the casino in the morning, then my niece's family for the food and festivities.

I have the holiday off again, same as last year. I worked the previous 10 or 11 thanksgivings. Thought I was going to have to work this year since work is closing but it worked out.

I’m just going to dinner at my parents in the evening. They live close by so nothing too crazy.

Thanksgiving is the only Holiday that I have never worked.
When I first started working for Pistol Pete's Pizza (now Peter Piper Pizza), I worked Turkey Day on a couple of occasions for the owner, who used the place for his family, relatives and friends for their Thanksgiving dinner. I amounted to what was a glorified babysitter in the arcade area for their kids to get free play on everything (and no, dinner wasn't offered to me). I'd feel a tad upset but getting paid for the time plus the $200 tip from the owner made it worthwhile.
When we had the four stores owned by the same person, each store would field a football team and play each other on Thanksgiving. Those games were brutal but fun.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only American alive that hates Cranberry Sauce.
